The Sunnyland Chapter has once again been invited to participate in the prestigious Lake Mirror Classic and Concours event taking place on Saturday October 21, 2023. Our Chapter has displayed boats every year since the inception of this show which takes place every October around the Lake Mirror promenade in Downtown Lakeland, FL. This event typically draws 500 plus cars including many vehicles that will also be shown at the Amelia Island Concours in March. This year the show will feature the iconic GM Futureliner as the centerpiece display along with a recreation of the 1953 GM Motorama.

Our boats have always been well received by both spectators and show organizers so this is your chance to show off your boat, share its history with the general public and help promote the Classic Boat hobby. This is a static show and the boats are grouped with some of the boats shown as a water display on the lake along with several boats on trailers as land display. There is a concrete boat ramp on the lake located within close proximity to the boat display areas and an area nearby to park your trailer. There are always Sunnyland members available to assist you with launching and setup. This year the show organizers have offered additional land display space so if you have a boat that is in good condition and shows well you are encouraged to register for the event. Boats in the water are strongly encouraged by the show organizers so please consider that option which will also allow you to participate in the always anticipated boat “fly-by” that takes place early afternoon Saturday on the water.

As in the past, there will be tables and chairs located in the shade for the exclusive use by the boat participants. Your registration includes a picnic lunch for two served at noon. This has always been a fun and relaxing event and a great way to see some amazing cars. The event is free for spectators so even if you are not bringing a boat come on down and join the fun.

Complete the steps to register and when you get to the screen for payment, you will see spot to input a coupon code. Type in: boat30  this reduces the registration fee down to $25.00.

There will also be a “dutch treet” dinner at 6 pm at the Texas Cattle Company on Friday evening. Please RSVP as we only have room for 12 folks.
