The Sunnyland Annual Cruise, Barbeque and Wine Tasting will be Saturday February 17th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Hickory Point Recreational Park in Tavares. Food will be provided by OakWood Smokehouse & Grill and wines by Maggie’s Attic. The park is located about four miles south of Tavares, adjacent to Little Lake Harris at the north end of the Howie Bridge, and offers ample parking and a sizable day-use marina (no overnight mooring).
There will be a cruise of the Harris Chain of Lakes (weather permitting), this cruise will start at 10:00 am at Gilbert Park in Mount Dora. Boats will cruise through the Dora Canal and Dead River and gather at the Hickory Point Recreational Park by 11:30 am. Ride Sharing (No Boat? No Problem!) to accommodate our out-of-town (or currently “boat-less”) members, please let us know if you have space on your boat and are willing to share a ride.
