FL Chapter A.O.M.C.I. Annual Meeting and Boating Event

The get together was held on Saturday June 19th at the Sausalito Shores Clubhouse in Casselberry Florida, just north of downtown Orlando. The venue provides ample room for a moderate sized gathering along with a private boat ramp and dock to beautiful Lake Howell. The day started with a casual showing of boats and motors with plenty of discussion about the technical aspects of both on display. Quite a few boats were launched and ran around the lake in the morning. A catered barbeque lunch was served in the air-conditioned clubhouse just after noon followed by the annual election results. The event ended with judging of an interesting display of motors from the very early 1900’s, which were set up inside the clubhouse. The group was invited to join Sunnyland on the Friday June 25 Harris Chain Picnic cruise and several commented that they were planning on attending. There is continued and increasing synergy with the A.O.M.C.I. and Sunnyland group events and all were encouraged to keep that going in order to sustain and grow membership within both organizations.
