AOMCI Winter Haven Chain Meet

The Florida Chapter of the Antique Outboard Motor Club (AOMCI) held their August meet on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes. It was a great day for the meet that started out at the Lake Shipp park where members met up and launched their boats. There were about 15 – 20 boats that showed up for the cruise that toured the south end of the chain down to Legoland (Old Cypress Gardens). There was a nice mix of wood, aluminum and fiberglass boats all sporting vintage engines. At noon the group met up at the Harborside restaurant  for lunch allowing everyone to catch up with old friends.  After lunch it was more cruising toward the north end of the chain.

AOMCI will hold another meet on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes in November. Mark your calendar and come see these neat outboards.
